Casey came over for his 23rd birthday dinner tonight!
We had beef tenderloin with a shiraz and shallot reduction, brussel sprouts with sage butter, sour cream and chive twice baked potatoes, with a bottle of 2006 Calera Pinot Noir (check out the book "Heartbreak Grape" to learn about this amazing vineyard and winery.)
And finally, we finished the night with good jokes, talks with Miranda, and a pumpkin cheesecake with pralines and homemade whipped cream.
Happy Birthday Casey! We missed everyone who couldn't be there!
