SLC-->Houston, TX-->Doha, Qatar-->Islamabad, Pakistan-->SKARDU!

Shingo called this morning and left a very quick one minute message. They have arrived safely in the mountain town of Skardu. The flight they had scheduled from Islamabad to Skardu was canceled so they took a 24 hours jeep ride there instead. Next up, another jeep ride for 24 hours and then a two day trek. They are probably pretty exhausted. Here is a photo of Skardu I found online, just for fun.
